Bold Ideas from the Beginning
From the inception of Kevin’s career, customer service was always at the forefront. In his early days, he prided himself on being one of the speediest and most reliable couriers in NYC, delivering high-level packages and documents to various ports worldwide. Enjoying the interface with customers, he soon got into construction, but quickly noticed one glaring issue - an overwhelming lack of customer service among contractors. He opined, if he ever opened a business of his own, he’d make it his top priority to provide A+ customer service by creating a trustworthy relationship from the get-go.
Drawing off his carefully honed-skills from both learning centers and field training, Kevin learned he had a natural knack for carpentry. Word of mouth around Kevin quickly grew, as did his reputation for skillful and beautiful work - all done with reliability and ease.
The Birth of Blue Star
Soon after, Kevin started his own business, hired carpenters, bought a van, tools, supplies and was off and running. He quickly realized how much he loved the work - it was exhilarating and fun and his enthusiasm was through the roof! And thus, Blue Star Carpentry was born.
His now 15-man company continues to build and grow a huge network of clients, all based on trust and loyalty. Kevin is the first to say that his colleagues are his family and the business is successful because of the great reliability and camaraderie among everyone at Blue Star - something that is truly rare in construction.

Following in his father’s and grandfather’s creative craftsman footsteps, Michael Simone has dedicated himself to making customers happy and putting their needs first through his specialized work in staircases and railings.
With over 35 years of experience, Michael prides himself on being extremely detail-oriented, doing meticulously clean and refined work, and seeing every job through with loyalty.
When he’s not on the job, you can find Michael playing volleyball, boating, and doing what he does best outside the job - being a dad.
